Côte Bonneville DuBrul Vineyard
Tasting Notes:
2007 Côte Bonneville DuBrul Vineyard
In 2007 we were once again spoiled by a normal
Washington growing season which produced beautiful wines from
our vineyard. The 2007 Côte Bonneville is deep garnet colored.
Swirling releases cherry, raspberry, well integrated oak spice
and loose leaf tea aromas. The mouth is loaded with DuBrul cherry
supported by notes of currant, tobacco, orange zest and earth
on a rich mid-palate. The extended finish is textured by fine
tannins.

Polished, round and focused, with a vibrant feel to
the ripe black cherry, cassis, peach, herb and tar flavors,
hinting at cocoa and spice as it all lingers harmoniously against
velvety tannins. This has power but also refinement. Cabernet
Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2012 through 2016. 500 cases
made. –HS

A Dry Red Table wine from Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley,
Washington, USA
The 2005 Côte Bonneville will be released in April, 2009. It has everything that the 2004 has and more. It is a more structured effort and will benefit from 6-8 years of cellaring. If you don’t know about this winery, it’s time to get it in gear. Dr. Hugh and Kathy Shiels planted the DuBrul Vineyard a number of years ago and are now making wine under the Côte Bonneville label from their estate fruit. Review by Jay Miller.

rolls on and on without losing its graceful sense of elegance.

The 2004 Côte Bonneville Estate is 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and
37% Merlot. Spicy, juicy, and layered, bordering on opulent,
it is a hedonistic turn-on. Give it 4-6 years in the cellar
and drink it through 2030. Review by Jay Miller

2002 Côte Bonneville Proprietary Red “DuBrul
Vineyard” Yakima Valley 97pts SOMMselections
Planted in 1992, the steep, rocky south-facing slopes
of the DuBrul Vineyard has a variety of soils: ash from the
Cascade volcanoes, rugged basalt promontory and frocks that
were frozen in chunks of glacial ice. This marvelous wine will
continue to improve.
